Guest guest
Helen - I'm very glad to hear that you got things worked out with your meds. It was ridiulous for you to be handled that way. Actually, I'm even amazed that given that you're on morphine (if I remember correctly) that your doc mails your prescription to you. Where we are, prescriptions for narcotics can't be mailed and Schedule II narcotics I don't think can even be called into a pharmacy. What a difference a few state borders can make !! Stay comfortable - BarbaraHelen wrote: Hi everyone,Well, Monday night is here and I am happy to say that I am feeling almost back to normal. I phone my dr this morning and had a new RX written. The mailed one never came today either. Luckily, my mom lives near the office and was able to pick it up for me. I got the pills at about 3 p.m. I think they are finally working. I am so grateful to all of you for writing in support and giving me some info. For those who read my post about the on-call dr, he is being written up by the medical group administrator. I hope he will never do to another person what he did to me.Now--- Deb, after I wrote you this morning, I realized that most of what you wrote for symptoms were exactly what I went through before the RSD was diagnosed in my left foot. It would turn blue, purple and then black and swell up something awful and was very painful. I saw about ten specialists before one picked up the RSD. Instead of giving me pills for swelling, circulation, etc, I was sent to a pain clinic. It took a series of about seven sympathetic blocks, one per week, to get my foot to resemble a foot again. So please, get as many opinions as it takes to ease your mind. Don't give up until YOU are satisfied. You have probably heard this many times, but sometimes you just can't hear it enough. I know--I am that way. And I didn't mind at all writing to you while I was in pain. That is what we are all here for -- each other. I hope you are feeling better today. Thanks again to everyone. I hope you have many pain free days and nights.
