I was thinking of writing to a Congressman; but I am unsure of what the

issue really is. I don't think that the insurance is the issue; I think

this guy - who knew next to nothing about anything - just threw that out

there. But it doesn¹t make sense. And if it really is the reason; then it

happened within the last six months or so.

In moments that I feel really strong about it; I think that I should get

copies of my records from the pain group; sift through them and find out who

said what. However; that is only if there was a report generated. (there

was nothing new in the paperwork when he entered the room) If it originated

with the pain shrink then it is classified and he will label it too

confidential for me to read. Looking back; I wonder if this is it; not

taking the mmpi. I had asked my 'real' pain doc a month ago if the problem

was my refusal to take the mmpi and what I did instead (sending a letter

from a phd, offering other testing; allowing an oral interview). He told me

that he did not care about the psych report and to him the issue was of no

importance; that I had a very real disorder going on from which I needed

help from them; and that they could help me.

So let's say that this is it; the refusal to take the mmpi and a pain shrink

whose ego has been stepped on. And I write to the congressman and what

happens? The pain shrink will say the report is confidential; I persue it;

and suddenly my psych history becomes the issue.

I just feel like I can't really address the problem to file a complaint

because I have not been told the true issue.
