Guest guest
Dear Lari, Thanks so much for your reply. It is hard to get energy for the computer as well! It sounds like you are still in so much pain. Am so glad you were able to make it to the ballet class. What a delight. Will be interested to hear if the new meds and maybe the bath-to-come has some effect on the pain. Pain gets so wearing after awhile. You asked how I was---have just written an answer to 'San Francisco Tom' with a detailed account of my aches and pains. This has got to get better some time, I am sure. Cheers, Eleanor Re: Moving slowly/ Eleanor Hi, Eleanor, It's been several days since I've been on the computer. With everyone home on the weekend, it's hard to get equal time. I am so happy we had a chance to chat. So many of your tips have been well taken, and it's comforting to know that you are only a phone call away. A tube ride away, even! As for my bath that night, NO, I never did make it in because as I'd mentioned, my husband had three to bathe, and I think we'd all had it by the time the evening had finally come to end. Story time is still an essential part of the kids' bedtime ritual, and I do my best to keep it going. Especially now. Yes, I did save up all my energy yesterday and was treated to the most heartwarming sight of tiny blue and pink fairies hopping around the ballet studio around the corner. Eve was so adorable (very expressive!)-- as were all her co-fairies-- and my son even decided to try an older-kid class! The instructor was kind enough to let me into the inner sanctum and observe. Moms are usually not allowed in. So, I walked home and felt like very, very uncomfortable-- and quite sad, because the aching never seems to subside. It was rough to walk even a block. That night (last) I had a horrible time; just as you and I discussed. I walked it off all night long, and Tom helped a lot with a great leg/ankle/foot massage at 4:00 a.m. Today, as tired as I was, and I really was, I went back to the hospital for therapy. Getting into that water was so uplifting. The sensation of being able to move helped my head a lot, but I am aching even more now, and expect to have a tough night. I did rest all afternoon. My GP is recommending a different med for nighttime emergencies, and I'll get that delivered tomorrow. In the meantime, I am scheduled for more therapy on Friday. Tomorrow I will try the bath, and let you know how it went. As for your homeopathic sleep aid, the radio, everyone has their own remedy. My mother has always found that approach a perfect one. I find it difficult to listen to anything in the wee hours, so for now I will have to tough it out. Hope work was even better today. I'll write to Sunita ASAP.
