Subject: Birth Control Pills and uterine fibroids

i have ovarian cysts and fibroids--lucky me. my gyn has me on a low dose

estrogen pill. the estrogen feeds (contributes) to fibroids, but helps to

keep the (ward off) cysts in check. go figure.

i am on depot lupron now with a myo scheduled for 1/22. no pills since nov.

am reading healthy healing books now. not sure if i am going back on the

pill after surgery.

Subject: Birth Control Pills and uterine fibroids

Through the research I have done on the net, I was under the

impression that Birth Control Pills increase your chances of having

uterine fibroids. Some of the messages I have read lately seem to

suggest they are a cure for fibroids and can actually shrink them.

Which is true?
