Guest guest
Hi to all!! When I had my very first flare it was due to pericarditis. I had trouble breathing laying down and sitting up a certain way. I felt like I could never catch my breath, no matter what I did. I was whezzing in my chest alot plus had lots of pressure. I was in the hospital for 8 days over it and it took I know all of 8 months for it to go away. I was truely happy when it did. Even walking took everything I had plus cleaning house and running after 2 small boys. I hope this helps. This is especially true in pleurisy and pericarditis (inflammations around the sac of the lungs and heart respectively). Deanna, you might want to suggest that your doc consider these possibilities. I seem to recall that the docs said that in pericarditis, symptoms were most pronounced when the patient was lying down...It's worth a consult!Hope you're all doing better real soon!Maureen www.maureenpratt.com "The LUPIES Store" Come check out our store...http://www.cafepress.com/thelupies"The LUPIES Web Page"http://www.itzarion.com/lupusgroup.html"The LUPIES online photo albums!"
