That is ridiciolous. I worked for NY for many years. It wasn't a state agency, but if a holiday was on a Saturday then we got the Friday off, if a holiday was on a Sunday, then we got the Monday off.

Yea, it's because the "higher ups" have the weekends off and want to get the money. So those of us who actually work the "real" holiday get it stucked up their asses. Now that my hours are changed, I've got mondays off. There goes any holiday pay I was getting! Wonder when they will start changing Christmas??
