Guest guest Posted June 2, 2004 Report Share Posted June 2, 2004 Hi everyone. I took Ethan to the ortho and orthotist today. He is still pulling that right foot out. I tried all of your suggestions but nothing helped. Anyway, the orthotist cut a hole in the back of the Markell shoes so that we could see if his heel is all the way down and it isn't. I figured it wasn't and kind of thought they would have to recast for a time. However, Dr. Showalter feels that he needs another tenotomy on that foot and I don't know how comfortable I am with that. If it didn't stretch enough the first time, is it going to the second time? Just thought I would see if any of you had heard of having a second one done. He also feels that we should have the sandals so I am going to be checking into that as well. I was also thinking of emailing Dr. Ponseti and send him some pictures of Ethan's feet and see what he thinks. Anyway, any ideas you guys have would be greatly appreciated!!
