Imagine a business letter saying Dear Mr. Poop instead of Mr. Pook? That’s too much about your foot! When I fell on my fanny I broke my tail bone & when I fell I said: “no big deal, except for the embarrassment” When I went to my cancer gyno and he saw how much trouble I had getting on the table he ordered me to get an X-ray. It hurt like H E double toothpicks for 2 years. It turned out to be a big deal after all. Subject: Re: Deanna home-to Cheryl Cheryl, I totally believe that is true. I broke my foot and didn't know it. I get pain in my feet alot, so I didn't think anything of it...until it wouldn't fit in my shoe anymore from the swelling. By that time, it didn't hurt anymore (at least I didn't think so). I had lost about 1/4 inch of bone tissue from the friction...ewww...I hate to think about it now, but it didn't hurt as bad as myositis...that is the worst! Anyway, I think you are right on the whole that we are used to pain so we just don't let it bother us as much.
