Guest guest
Hi Terri - I've always loved and appreciated your attitude and encouragement, too! It's interesting that you ask about a goal, because just today I was looking ahead at the calendar and setting some personal minigoals on the way to " the " goal. When I joined WW and was totally uncertain I'd get anywhere near to any goal, I set my goal as 175...which is a comfortable set point for me. But according to the WW chart, my highest should be 159. Well, Terri, I haven't weighed 159 in about 40+ years! When I graduated from high school I was about 165. Anyway, you might get a chuckle out of this... I had purchased 2 sets of discount coupons when my WW center offered them (11 for the price of 9 meetings). As of this coming Friday, I will be using the first of my LAST set of coupons (meaning, I have 11 to use). As I got out my calendar, I looked ahead by 11 weeks and set two goals, based on my pattern of averaging 5 lbs per month. So....I set a goal fo 166 for October 22, 162 for November 26, and 159 for December 17 (my last coupon!). At that point, I simply do not want to have to pay any more!! LOL! But...do you know how SCARY that is? Fun and exciting, but a little intimidating too. Will I make it? I'm truthfully not sure. I do believe in bodies having set points...and mine wants to stay right where it is now. I'm having to drop a little below my target points to get a loss each week now. (shhhh!) Anyway, it will be fun to see what I can do with this. I'm not going to worry about it though....what will be, will be. At this point, I'm the happiest and healthiest I've been for most of my life! Are you sorry you asked? I'm sorry I rambled on so....!! You are doing GREAT with maintenance, by the way. When I get there, I may drop in with some questions! Hugs to you... Bette 278/170/175 (original goal)...now, maybe 159!!
