Robyn, I have been seeing my Rhuemy for over a year and it has only been the last few weeks that I seem to be getting relief. I too am on Plaquenil and when she prescribed that she told me to take Prilosec every morning becase it was going to be hard on my stomache. If I run out of Prilosec and don't take it for a couple of days I get the world's greatest heartburn. (This was new to me as I have always had my dad's cast iron stomache.) I usually get at supply of the Prilosec from either my Rhuemy or my family doctor. They had a lot of samples and it saves me a ton of money as the Prilosec is expensive. You might ask for some samples and give it a try and see if it helps with your stomach problems.

I hear it has helped others, but I don't know if I can trade the pain for the stomach problems. I was only diagnosed with Lupus a few months ago and I have not had a pain free day yet. I am grateful for the days with less pain. I know that the more I exert myself, the more pain I have. Fatigue turns to pain for me. Please tell me more about Avinza.
