It seems that she can no longer tolerate the vitamin A. Yep this is my son also, plus #4 I can't give *any* vitamin A or she explodes in the toxicity rash. Very confusing, and noone seems to know why. But I can't give my son more than 1000 IU 2x per week, or he has problems. I am really not sure I can give him even that much. My son now needs Lauricidin, because apparently other virus issues are present and the Lauricidin addresses that. But it causes yeast, so I give it with GSE [see previous messages on this]. Right now these are basically my son's only two required supplements. I occasionally give others like cal/mag, but they are not required. I don't know if OLE addresses bacteria, I used it for virus after the high dose vitamin A and before the Lauricidin. >>I have heard some parents say that their kids regress > seasonally, and the allergies are terrible here in Dallas right now. > Does that sound like a possibility to you. It is possible. Someone recently mentioned Grape Seed Extract might help with that. Or you can consider giving Benadryl and see if that works. Or Claritin. Good luck. Guest guest
Thanks Dana--I give her Monolaurin, and I have for several months. I may try the grape seed extract. I gave Claritin yesterday, but could not tell if it helped really. I'll let you know what happens. The vitamin A deal with your child and mine is one of the most confusing things I have encountered so far. Before the toxicity she took 20,000 iu per day fine. Now nothing!!! Oh well, thanks for th input.-Tod > >>Back in December she went toxic on high > > dose vitamin A. After that she had huge gains in language, social, > > and eating. I know why I can't give more than USRDA, but why can't I give even a small sprinkle? Very confusing. Dana
Guest guest
> What about foods high in Vit A? Any reaction to those? So far as I know, those foods are actually high in beta carotene, which is not vitamin A until converted by the body. But I have not noticed any problem with those foods.
