day 4 no smoking - slip up - School problems

Well, I slipped.

I've had 3 cigs today. I was doing good until came home from

school in a terrible state. She had an horrible day with her damn

keyboarding teacher. She left the classroom and went to talk with

the principal. He said " I haven't seen you in here before. What's

your name. Your eyes are bloodshot. What have you been doing? "

What a jerk! Now is all worried that he thinks she's been

taking drugs.

Of course, if he had read her 504 form, and the letter from the

doctor, he would know that she has problems with her eyes.

And, I can't beleive that the principal of the school doesn't know

the kids who have a 504 - who are disabled!

told me something her keyboarding teacher did, and I so want

to call this kid's mother. There is a boy in the class who is in

special ed. says he's " slow " or retarded. Whatever you call

it these days. Anyway, he was getting very frustrated in class, and

the teacher grabbed his arm, told him to " do it this way - or you

won't get to have your lunch today! "

Can you beleive that?

said she would stand in front of a jury and tell what

happened, it made her so mad.

The teacher actually threatened this poor boy.

You can bet I'll be telling the principal about that!

So, I left a message for the principal that I would like him to get

out 's 504 form, and the letter from the doctor and the letter

from Barb, READ THEM, and call me back.

I am going to go in first thing Monday morning and have a talk with

him.

has been getting very upset all week. She's had a couple

substitute teachers who have made some mean remarks. Like the one

in one class, where the regular teacher is letting use the

computer to do her work, and the sub said " So, what makes you so

special that you get to use the computer? "

says only one teacher (the one whose class she was in a

couple weeks ago when she had a back spasm) is being nice and

helpful.

This has got to stop. None of her teachers, except the one, are

helping at all. She has F's in all her classes, because of all her

absences. They are suppose to be giving her the make up

assignments, but they aren't.

I am gonna have to collect my thoughts, and approach the principal

Monday morning in a calm, collected way. I'm not sure I can.

High, she has the problems with the kids. Jr High is the worst

years of your life. She can't stand most of the kids, and all the

drama. She now wants to move back to England.

So, I can blame this on smoking, but I shouldn't. I'm not giving

up, though. I just ordered a stop smoking hypnosis tape that is

suppose to be just as good as an one hour office visit. It's by

some doctor. I should be getting it in a few days.

I totaly beleive in hypnosis, and know a few people who have stopped

smoking with it. And, my dad uses it for pain control, so I know it

works.

Anyway, I've slipped, but I'm not giving up!!!!

Good for you, , for not giving up!!!!

All of us who have been thru quitting have slipped at one time or another. You

just hang in there and you'll make it.

You really need to get this school either on your and your daughters

side or blow them to the wind. I think that this schools is SHOCKING,

that they treat there disabled students this way (And if that boy was

my son I would 100% want you to tell me what that teacher did because

the child may not be able to or the parents may not believe him but

your daughter saw and witensses it and that is the MOST shcoking

behaviour I have heard of against a defensless student/chils. She

should be CHARGED with abuse of this child and removed from ANY

teaching posistions. SHe is a BULLY and POWER HUNGRY she abuses the

authority she has to make herself feel big.

I say the sooner you get your daughter out of this persons class or

out of this school the better. I sure hope that your conference with

the principle goes well and do NOT be afraid to take your issues

further and tell him/her that you are taking it further as there

handling of your daughter and other disabled students is HORRIBLE.

On the smoking front, just keep at it. Start again at day one and

work at it you were doing very well before all of this stress was

dumped back on you. Just keep on trying you will get there, you have

managed through a LOT of other stuff int he last 4 days to stay smoke

free.

I am thinking of you and hoping that you can pull it together,

Quitting smoking is a BIG DEAL and is NOT EASY, you are NOT A

SUPERHERO you can't do this alone or without help, especially with

all of the stress you have. Here is hoping that the tape and the gum

together help you and give you the extra strength you need (you need

to get your hubby to support you more to and to NOT smoke near you

and to even try to give up as well).
