Guest guest
I have a vague memory, that the thing to do is to take lots of vitamin C and vitamin E and maybe other anti oxidants to safe the glutathionine which is in the body already rather than trying to add more. Maybe somebody else could comment. Dagmar. [ ] Glutathione Supplements Dangerous? I've read some of Andy's postings and another doctor told me that if someone is telling you your glutathione is low, they're probably trying to sell you a bottle of glutathione. My son did test low for reduced glutathione, plasma in a recent test. However, I'm worried about supplementing with the Kirkman's products or any other vendor's products. A friend recommended using selenium supplements. Can anyone shed light on this? I'd suggest reading the section on " sulfur and thiols " , here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/ANDY_INDEX.html There are one or two posts somewhere in there that are clear about what to do and in which cases. good wishes, Moria
Guest guest
Oral glutathione will be broken down & used by the bacteria in the intestines. It is good for the gut flora but you will need transdermal glutathione or inject it. Selenium is a anti oxidant that is " supposed " to cross the brain-blood-barrier and neutralize the mercury in the brain. There was a remark about that at the last DAN! Portland 2003 conference about it. Carsten [ ] Glutathione Supplements Dangerous? Guest guest
Carsten, Thanks for this info. Do you mind letting me know where you read this? I like to check things out for myself too, that way I feel more comfortable about using something on my child, who otherwise has no say in the matter. So far I've only been able to find info from the people who are selling the products and that's not exactly a reliable or trustworthy source.
