Guest guest
Hi . Luckily, I got in to see my NP last Monday and had lots of blood drawn. Haven't heard the results yet, but am calling tomorrow. I'll be interested what you and others think of the below.... Yes, I've had a lot of estrogen dominance this year!! I solved that by stopping my progesterone cream for 14 days in August. My estrogen receptors calmed down! When I restarted, no more soreness. But.....I think I have not been on ENOUGH progesterone. Have been achy and TIRED since a cycle Dec. 2nd, and bad estrogen dominance that started a week before and has NOT ceased. But this time, it doesn't seem related to what happened to me earlier this year. I upped my progesterone last Monday to 32 mg. twice a day. Has helped the soreness. And Thursday, I even did better after work, and felt fabulous Friday when I didn't work. BUT.......after yestesday and working at the store, I crashed BADLY the minute I got home last night. EXTREME sleepiness and fatigue. And today, I am wiped out. MY THEORY--does this sound right: I am thinking that since I am very peri-meno, and since my estrogen is probably very low, and my progesterone has most likely bottomed out....the low levels are stressing my body, so my adrenals are kicking in to get me through the day, and thus, I crash badly at night. Since I have upped my progesterone to 32 mgs. twice a day, I am hoping to see improvements with the adrenals......... Comments on the above paragraph?? I have also raised my Armour from 3 1/4 grains to 3 1/2 grains.......as of last night. I've never had much of a problem in the winter with needing more Armour, by the way, but figured it might help right now.... Janie > > Janie, just a couple of thoughts-- > Have you had your hormone levels checked? You have talked on and > off about estrogen dominance, sore breasts and upping your > progesterone. I seem to remember you also saying you take DHEA. > DHEA gets converted into estrogen. On the Mercola web site, he > strongly recommends balancing your adrenals before using > progesterone. Also, in Blanchard's book on thyroid he says > he finds most of his patients here in the Boston area need about 20% > more thyroid in the winter months starting in November than they do > the rest of the year. Don't know if that would be true where you are.
