Grrrrrrrrrrrrr................I'd be pretty angry too. That's just

completely unacceptable. Do you have to wait another whole month? That

stinks.

Love, prayers and heart hugs...

Debbie (Dawsonville, GA) - Mom to Evan (9/7/98) ToF, repair surgery on

2/11/99, Absent Pulmonary Valve, RBBB, Asthma, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and

, born 4/13/02 .... another miracle baby! And, of course, my three

angel babies (10/16/95; 4/26/96; 10/5/00) who I will meet when God says it's

time.

You know, you have every right to be ticked off. I'd be flipping mad. To

have them put someone else's clothes on him, AND, make him wait in the

nurses office while they washed and dried the pants?? I don't know about

your washer/dryer, but mine is a good hour - hour 1/2 to wash AND dry. So,

he was sitting in the nurses office the whole time?? Not right, not right.

It's call a communications notebook for a

reason.

I'm sorry this has turned out to be the week from hell. This is one long

post. I'm sitting here sick, dd is sick, ds#3 is sick and off the bus comes

ds#2 with this huge scratch on his head and someone elses clothing (shirt).

Ok first off I cringe when I saw his forehead and said ouch. The Bus

driver tells me, the Aide said, ds had some kind of accident at school

today. I fully expect to walk in and find something about this in the

communication notebook . Nothing, not a damn thing is written.

I proceed to ask ds what happened. One has to understand , that this is

not something he can do well.

mom: DS how did you hurt your forehead?

ds: Ouchy

mom: oh I know it looks like it hurts. Here I'll kiss it

ds: yes

mom: How did it happen?

ds: Scratch

mom: I see the scratch that had to hurt, how did you do it?

ds: Moon

mom: Moon? Were you cutting out a moon today?

ds: Sissors

mom: You sratched yourself with the sissors?

ds:no

mom: How did you scratch yourself?

ds: Moon

Mom: I'm sorry your forehead is scratched hunny. (gives up trying to get

it out of him, and calls school)

Mom's converstation to school. Can I please speak with Miss. T, sure hold

on. I wait 15 mins while they get her. She gets on the phone and I ask what

happens. Why was he wearing someone elses shirt? I was told she couldn't

find his bag of clothing. Ok but the entire point of me sending stuff in, is

so that he doesn't wear other peoples clothing. I'll wash and send it back,

in the morning. How did his shirt get wet? He pee'd himself. Oh but he still

has on the pants I sent him in with. We washed those, since we could not

find another pair of pants. What did he wear in the mean time? He sat in the

nurses room for time. Why didn't you call me? It wasn't worth calling you

about. Umm, yes it is. I live 6 miles from the school and would have brought

him a new pair of pants. Well we have a washing machine here. That isn't my

point. How did ds scratch his forehead? I don't know. Well someone knows

because the aide told the bus driver it happened at school. I would like

this stuff wri tten in the notebook. I write the notebooks while on break.

When is your break? 11 am. Well when something happens after 11 am, dont'

you take the notebook out and update it? No I don't have time. It's your job

to find the time. Thank you for your time.

I hung up after that. I'm so sick of dealing with this pissy ass teacher.

I hate her and I'm waiting out till our next IEP meeting in May and

requesting a room change for ds. I'm tired of being miss nice mom. I'm ready

to be miss royal bitch mom now.

I'm sick and bitchy as it is.

When you take him to school in the morning I would go have a conversation

with the principal about this. This sort of thing is so unacceptable.

I am so glad that I don't have to deal with the schools. I would go

freaking mad. I do not have that sort of patience.

Ah, geez, . I am sorry that they can't even do their job and write

up injuries. I thought it was illegal or something for their to be no

accident report? I was always getting them from Putter's school.

Sorry, sorry, sorry.

Go get her! She sounds like she needs to deal with a bitchy mom if she

can't find enough time to document an injury to a child!! I also agree with

you that she should have called you. He has to have missed at least and

hour or more of school while they washed his pants, and what about his

undies? Or if he isn't toilet trained yet, that still means he sat around

with no pants on for that time! And if they were washing his pants, why

didn't they just wash the shirt anyway? Yep, go get her!

Thanks Salli, I'm waiting for a phone call from the director of the school this

morning. I think I finally figured out what happened and caused the scratches.

has Gym as his last activity on Wednesday. I have asked that they take his

glasses off, for obvious reasons. Well someone wasn't paying attention and he

must have left them on and got smacked in the face with a ball, foot, hand. The

scratch does look like his glasses caused it. It took me forever to even get an

answer from him yesterday. has no real communication skills that way. He

can talk your ear off but ask him a question and he can't do it.

I did document it and talked to the director today. I'm going in for 's

intake and will be talking more to her in person. I want moved out of that

room after Easter break, if possible. They only had 3 12-1-4 settings and they

are now filled. One of those fillings is and I don't want him in her

room either. She is going to try and work them around with the new kids and see

what she can do.

I think I figured out this morning how he got scratched. Not sure and no one

seems to know. said something about not wearing his glasses in Gym. He has

gym as his last thing on Wednesdays. I have written asking the adults make sure

he has his glasses off before gym or recess. Needless to say I don't think that

happened and I think got smacked in his glasses and they scratched him.

are now filled.

Re: It's call a communications notebook for a

reason.

I would be fuckin bullshit. Everyone at 's school knows to call me if

anything happens. DOCUMENT THIS AND exactly what you told us. That way it

may make things easier to move him.

OK I'm probably going to say something kindof unpopular here, but I

want you all to know, I'm not meaning any harm or criticism by

it...just MY opinion.

I scratch and bruise myself really easily, lots of times, I don't

even know how they happened. My kids get scratches and bruises too.

I wouldn't expect someone to write me a note and tell me my child was

scratched...it's not that big of a deal to me. I mean unless it was

something major, or if there was a fight involved.

Keep in mind, I was turned into SRS twice with my daughter when she

was young..once by the babysitter who complained because Alyx had 2

bruises on the top of her feet (she was 2). They weren't even

unusual bruises. The other time, we had gone to Pizza Hut and she

had pizza sauce on her face when I went into the grocery store to

cash a check, she was too little to leave in the car, so I took her

in with me. Someone called and said it looked like I hadn't bathed

her in weeks. Whatever, they're kids, they're gonna get messy and

bruised once in awhile! I never abused or neglected my daughter.

I realize there is a history here and I'd be a little upset about the

pants thing too, but you want to try to maintain a good working

relationship with them if you can. This could also just be one more

thing in a long line of other things that has you so upset...if

that's the case, then I think you need to go in and have a big pow

wow with the principal and teacher.

,

I see your point I really do. If this was on his arm or whatever I wouldn't be

upset. They managed to tell his busdriver he had an accident but not me, that

bothered me more. It was two long deep red scratches right from the corners of

his eyes up his forehead. Kind of hard to miss. If he was wearing his glasses

in gym, like I think , then they need to be made aware that isn't acceptable. I

have tried my with all my might to keep a working relationship with this

teacher. She drives me batty. I'm usually a very easy going person but I don't

like when people screw around with my child. A teacher has a job to do and I

expect it done right. If the teacher isn't capable of providing the care the

child needs then she needs to admit it.

Sorry it's nothing against what you said. I agree that it's just a scratch.

It's more the fact they told the busdriver but couldn't take the few seconds to

let me know.
