I don't know how you could determine if it's in the fillers except by process of elimination. I can't imagine why they would use iodine in the fillers, but who knows. I look for iodine, kelp, bladerwrack and I think there's a couple more I can't remember but know when I see them listed. I went to Shoman's site but couldn't find the article that listed all the different things that are actually iodine. You really have to be a detective! It sounds like you've been through it, too.
