Switched to MSContin from OxyContin and had REALLY REALLY REALLY bad reaction. Ended up in the hospital and then in bed for 3 days. Here is what the text book says: Morphine Sulfate Oral Tablet SR 60 mg- SIDE EFFECTS May cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea, and flushing the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: irregular heartbeat, anxiety, tremors, seizures. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Par the course.... I got um all! Poison mostly out of my system but nothing back inside yet! What an ordeal! Ever felt like you are a shell with nut'n inside? Sort of like taking a capsule, emptying out the medicine inside and putting the shells back together! That is what I fell like now. I really don't have the strength to back track through 300+ emails! I just cannot sit at the computer long enough. Which is why I was wondering if I missed anything important ... conference/post conference activities/important stuff about anyone's health? A nutshell would be fine. Debbi NOW I know why I couldn't get you out of my head after we talked (for @ 80 hours!) when this had happened. Apparantly that wasn't the end, it was the beginning. I'm guessing you continued to try to call the Dr.'s office, even though it seemed like he wasn't around (though I would love to be convinced of that), like I said, every 1/2 hour, if you had to. SOMEONE had to be on call! We both knew you had to stop it, but I really thought, when you seemed to be a bit better after the Benedryl, you'd be OK. BUT, I just couldn't stop thinking about you. I must be a witch like my Grandma was! But you are 3,000 miles away, or else I'd have been there in no time. It just didn't feel right. Well I guess you didn't wait (good idea) & though you must have gone through a scary & miserable time, sounds like you're on the mend now. Well, at least now you know what NOT to take. I feel so bad, I wish I could have done more, but, darn those 3,000 miles. And it led to this! Ughhhh! As far as the last couple of days, " a certain few people " pretty much continued being silly/creative/in serious planning/ etc., for " assorted " trouble to get into in Buffalo. Is that a nutshell? Oh, forget it. I have to hear your voice.

A nutshell would be fine. --------------- Depends on how you define important. I was personally dodging a lot of slings, arrows, stones and less than veiled threats from what looks to be a rapidly growing conspiracy to taunt, torment, shame, and in whatever fashion they can conjure or connive, humiliate SOMEONE at the conference. I did get a hold of him right after we hung up and of coarse he had me watch myself and call him back in 2 hours. I did and that is what lead to the ER. What a mess. He was great about it all. Boy when my body does not like something it sure tells me in no uncertain terms! Debbi Really got to rest now.
