Guest guest
Lana, Please get that out of your head, you are not a whiner ------------------ Yes, she is. And on that note, one of my favorite adages is that " You are not being paranoid when someone really is trying to get you. " And I am NOT being paranoid when I KNOW there is a witch, a whiner and a who doing their best to get me.

Guest guest
Mike What's the beef? I DO NOT DISAGREE WITH YOU! I JUST BELIEVE A THOROUGH MEDICAL EVALUATION IS WARRANTED BEFORE OTHER OTHER MODALITIES ARE CONSIDERED! NANCY Re: Report from doctor visit - /Lana > > > Now now, Mike, be careful what you say!!! I JUST BELIEVE A THOROUGH > MEDICAL EVALUATION IS WARRANTED BEFORE OTHER OTHER MODALITIES ARE > CONSIDERED! > NANCY ------------ No beef at all - I was agreeing with what you said. I could not agree more about the need for a complete evaluation before ANY thing is done. My hang-up is with the specialists who just know that they are absolutely right and charge forward with all kinds of invasive procedures on the front end rather than checking other possibilities first. My professional code of ethics (and for all bodyworkers) can pretty well be boiled down to three key statements: (1) The old hippocratic oath principle of " first do no harm. " (2) Stay within your scope of practice. (3) Refer, refer, refer (when something comes up that goes outside of an individual's scope of training or skill level). I just wish we could expect the same from all of the " specialists " out there. They seem to be pretty good about number 2 - keeping the client or patient in " their " scope of practice but not so good about referring. And when you consider how invasive some of the specialty procedures are, " first do no harm " certainly isn't being observed as often as it should.
