This was a major issue for me before I started, and I keep examining it, and I keep coming to the conclusion that, for me, the result has been positive. I don't claim cure, of course...helped, yes. My brain works with the chemicals, and it doesn't work well without them. I sleep well with them; without them, my brain forgets to breathe. I can function a good part of the day with them; without them, I pretty much don't function, unable to think clearly through the, well, unusual anxieties. To my complete surprise (and much chagrin), I find myself considering them a success in my case. And I still intellectually hate the concept, but there it is.
