Guest guest
Deanna, Poop kid, I hope you feel better soon and you get lots of pain pills and sleep. Thanks for letting us know what happened. It’s a good thing you went to the Dr. I just thought of something strange. Anyone healthy and not used to chronic pain every day of life would have gone to the hosp. right away after the fall. I think she or he would have recognized the pain was serious right away. When we live with chronic pain, we get used to it and tend to ignore things we shouldn’t. Does anyone else think that might be true? I know my husband gets a cold and it’s the end of the world but he doesn’t want me to complain about my pain every day. Of course, who would? I can already imagine you: limping on your right leg, your left shoulder slouching down. 'Thinking of you and wishing a speedy recovery. Mojo I'm home from the ER Well 5 hours later I am finally home. Did not get brought back to the treatment area until a little after midnight. Once I was back there it went quick. Got the X-rays and pain med, sling, and then released. Now to explain what happened. Most of you know I developed severe Osteonecrosis in my right knee (thanks to prednisone) I have to use a cane to get around but in the house I never use it. Well anyways, I was having pain in that shoulder since yesterday and I just figured it was sore because of mowing the lawn over the weekend with the rider. Well today I was walking from the bathroom into the family room when my right knee gave out on me and well down I went, and I landed on my left shoulder. I just decided to take some Tylenol and go on about my daily stuff. The pain continued to get worse and it got to the point were I could not even move any fingers without a sharp throbbing pain. I told Mike and he wanted me to call PCP and see if I could go into Afterhours. Well PCP felt I most likely had dislocated my shoulder and wanted me in the ER (he knows I hate the ER) So I went like a good lil’ girl. According to the X-rays I have a fractured Clavicle and most likely sprained my shoulder. So the Dr. said I needed to get into my Ortho to follow up – She gave me a sling, told me to ice as much as possible, gave me 10 Dilaudid pills to hold me over till I can get script filled, and sent me home. (Forgot to mention that before they took me to X-rays they gave me a shot of Dilaudid in the good ol’ ass area J) ..
