Guest guest
You are a good mom Mojo. Too many kids today are taught the world owes them a living. My kids had chores too. It is easier to do the chore yourself than to teach a kid to do it. After the kid is capable though, it is a real blessing for the parents and it is the best thing you can do for your child. Actually, I think the perfect mother is the one that can teach their kids to do things around the house and I keep at it. This is one of the difficult lessons, because in many cases you have to keep at them, or they won't do it. The worse is doing everything for your kids, then they won't learn anything. My 9 year old takes out the garbage, and does a lot of house chores. He also likes to cook and I let him help in that area. Kasper (7 year old) takes out the recycling, and does a lot of dusting. Generally, I do not touch their bedroom or their playroom. One of their first duties in the mornings is doing their beds. They do that even on school mornings. I only help Arek, the almost 4year old, or have one of his brothers help him. The toys in their playroom are not exactly where I would put them, but they are put away. We have hardwood floors down there. Kasper vacuums it,. size=2 width="100%" align=center> Express yourself with over 8,000 FREE Email Smileys - click here! size=2 width="100%" align=center> Get your FREE personalized email signature at My Mail Signature!
