Oh, how this breaks my heart.....My first advice to you is to get in touch with your local Rape Crisis Center! They do outstanding work there with children who have been assaulted...as well as with thier families. They will even know the first steps to take legally to get this prosecuted.

Just bear in mind that your little girl is going to need counceling to understand that this was NOT her fault!

The Rape Crises Center that I took my little Grand daughter to when this happened to her when she was only 4 years old ....was excellent with her....they used Play Therapy to work out her anger and fear, and to help her to understand that she was in no way to blame.

The perpetrator in her case was also a 12 year old boy......who it turns out had in turn been molested by HIS father.!!.

The people at the Rape Crisis Center even have programs for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. The thing with my Grand daughter brought out a lot of issues that I had not dealt with from my own chiildhood, and we were both able to get the help we needed.....even though mine was almost 40 years after the fact.

You have all my prayers and best wishes .....this little girl needs patience, love,support,...and above all to know that this was not her fault.....I know I keep stressing that ......but you will be sursprised at how many times you will have to keep reassuring her of this fact!

My 7 yr. old daughter was sexually assaulted by a 13 yr. old "boy"(Tuesday). I am still in a state of shock. I cannot sleep, depressed,and my Lupus is in a MAJOR flare. The doctor that examined her messedup ALL the "evidence." I need ALL the prayers my daughter (and therest of our family) can get. We are prosecuting civil and criminally.If anyone has any advice (legal, emotional, etc.) it would be greatlyappreciated.
