Guest guest
Oh , I’m really sorry about your daughter. I hope she is better by now, it has been awhile since you wrote this and I have been away. Prayers for you tonight too. From: MEClifton@... Sent: Tuesday, June 08, 2004 10:31 PM To: LUPIES Subject: In Need of Help Dear Lupies . . . . my 39 year old daughter who is a kidney/pancreas transplant recipient (her first kidney lasted three years and the second one is now in rejection after a year and a half) found out today that in addition to having infusions of an anti-rejection drug for the kidney, an MRI yesterday showed a blood clot in her brain. I live near Houston and she moved to Seattle in March so she's far away. She does have a wonderful boyfriend who is sticking with her through thick and thin which is a comfort to me. She's having a second MRI tonight using a different dye. Don't know when the results will be forthcoming, maybe later tonight or in the morning, and also don't know what happens next. We are assuming surgery will be necessary. She has really good doctors who are interested, caring, and keep her well informed. Thank God! She's been through the mill with health problems (diabetes since age 11) including over four years of blindness. But her sight was restored after some good eye surgery and now she even drives again! The kidney rejection just seems to follow her around and now this brain blood clot which is a brand new type of problem.
