Welcome Jeff! I'm a mom with a 17 year old boy type 3. We are in Michigan USA.

You'll find a few Canadian teens here, but I don't know where they live. There

are also teen groups and a VEDS group. I'm sure someone will step in and help

you find them. In the mean time, feel free to chat with us. Ask anything and you

can vent your concerns here. Glad you found us.

So very glad you contacted us. Try contacting Betty Cammack at

tabby2@.... She is a mother with VEDS who lives in Calgary and has

gained experience with Calgary doctors and hospitals. You can learn

more about her experiences by reading through some of the old posts by

using the search option on this site.

I have a 17 yr. old daughter with Hypermobile EDS and Marfan's features

who loves to talk to boys on MSN. I will give her your e-mail address

and I feel certain she will contact you very soon.... She is also

learning to adjust and cope with her diagnosis as are we her parents.

It can be pretty scary at times I know. We live in Toronto and have

family in Calgary, though they do not have EDS issues themselves,

however they are eager to learn about EDS. Would love to hear from you

again.

My name is Ginley. I have VEDS too. I am not 17 years old, but I run

an email list for people with VEDS.....it might be easier for you to find

another person your age to talk with.
