Guest guest
--- In ceda , " Bonnie Heintskill " Now wouldn't THAT be a wonderful thing to do???? Maybe you could work on some of the MD's that will be there. Sue - is Dr. Lavalee going to be there??? --------------- One of the " little pleasures " in my life is the opportunity from time to time (usually in classes) to get a chance to work on a total skeptic with a problem. I absolutely LOVE that look of utter shock when they feel the energy running through a joint for the first time. And if something extra happens, like a pelvis dropping or a scapula shifting laterally or just general pain going away, so much the better. Can't always " convert " them, but it sure does make them stop and think. Like I used to say back in my pistol packing days, a conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. I like " mugging " docs and PTs.

LOLLOLLOLOL > Good one Mike!!! ----------------- My comment was not a mere figure of speech - I have been through just exactly that kind of situation in real life. Back in 1969-1970, I lived and worked right downtown in Seattle. This was during the Transalaska pipeline construction days. My cousin is married to a (now retired) Seattle city cop. Within one week of my moving to Seattle from Portland, he told me " The State of Washington issues concealed carry gun permits - get one and use it. " This from a city cop, which gives you an idea that things were not as tame in this town back then compared to now. A few months later, I was walking around downtown in the evening after dinner and got jumped by two guys, each of whom outweighed me by a good 40 pounds. Without going into all of the details, let's just say harsh words were exchanged and the situation was rapidly turning ugly until they " suddenly realized " that, two to one notwithstanding, they were grossly outnumbered. The following morning, I mentioned the " incident " during the morning coffee break with about 4-5 of us coffee regulars. One of the parties was a rabid, anti-gun, fully dyed in the wool liberal. He freaked and basically said " Just where were you going and what were you doing that you got yourself in that kind of trouble? " (Where I was going and what I was doing was taking about a two mile after dinner exercise walk around downtown like I did every evening). At any rate, two weeks later, he bops into the coffee break and takes off on everybody in a regular snit. Seems the night before while walking to the parking lot after work to his car, he got jumped himself and ended up doing a broken field run across an intersection and a scramble over the hood of a parked car to get away from his assailant. He was in a total uproar and was ranting about how he was going to go buy and start carrying a gun. I simply, very calmly and quietly, said " Ken, just where were you going and what were you doing that you got yourself in that kind of trouble? " One more converted liberal.
