I would put ice on it to keep the swollen down some I know down here when you first get at bee sting we put chewed up skoal or something else like that on it to get the sting out of it or some kind of tabbco (SP) but for the swellen put ice on it that is my 2 cents worth sorry i wasn't much help.

Hey is there any one still up out there In LUPIELAND?

I have a Question.....My 12 yr old grand daughter is spending a couple of days with me.....She was stung by a Bee near her eye yesterday.....when she got over her tonight it was swollen . She has been putting ice packs on it all night, but it looks worse. Should I give her a benedryl tablet? should she continue with the ice? She says it doesn't really hurt, it just keeps swelling more & more . any suggestions?

I think Benadryl wouldn't hurt. But give her some Benadryl over the mouth. The cream usually doesn't do much if the swelling is big. Otherwise it's difficult to say. Is she having an allergic reaction? Try Benadryl and see if it helps. If it does continue it for a day or two. I don't know why, but in Poland they put a cold knife to insect bites. It's supposed to help the swelling. Raw, cold meat will do as well, but will she allow it?
