Hello Bonnie,

What date/dates will you be in Bath, as it may be possible to meet you,

depending on the dates?

Love,

Fay.

We arrive in Bath on 6/26 Sat coming from Cardiff, Wales, spend the night in

Bath, 6/27 Sun we have a guided tour of Bath then free time. Mon 6/28 we travel

to London via Stonehenge. The kids are going on the Millenium Wheel but *I'm*

not since I HATE heights! So, I have Mon and Tues evenings free. Tues 6/29 is a

guided sightseeing bus tour of London, Wed 6/30 we have a free day and the kids

can go to a musical show. Thurs 7/1 we fly home from Heathrow Airport via

American Airlines.

Hope this helps....send me your home info off list to:

Bonnie,

I *LOVED* the Millenium Wheel! What an incredible view of London!

Have your kids take pictures so you can experience the view without

the height issues. They are going enjoy it.

You sound like me about heights. I wouldn't go up the Eiffel Tower cause I'm

too afraid. I stayed below it, with and , who were afraid as well.

I didn't miss out on too much though. I had to fight off a South American gypsy

girl who tried to steal my baguette. HA ha! It's true.

And, bought a statue of the tower, and we took pictures of us laying down

my it. Like we were giants at the Eiffel Tower. We had fun.

I wouldn't go in the eye either. Tom and went to the roof top of one of

the cathedrals somewhere in Europe (can't remember which one) and I wouldn't do

that either. Just stayed below and looked at all the grave stone thingys

inside.

You might be interested in going on a ghost walk. In fact, I'm sure you would.

There are a lot of different ones. Ask around as to which is the best. We did

those in London, York, Edinburough (sp?), and a few other places. You get taken

around and told all these stories of ghosts. It's really cool.

Make sure you go to the Tower of London. Lots of cool stories, and you can see

the crown jewels. They are amazing. But, the stories about things that

happened at the tower, and the people imprisoned there are so amazing. I think

would love it. My kids did.

If you like knowing and learning about all the tourture they used to inflict on

people, there's the London Dungeon. My kids liked that, and was scared.

They have a dungeon in York too. I thought it was cool.

I sound morbid, but that's a major part of England's history. All the morbid

stuff. I think it's so interesting. But, some may think I'm weird. Well, I'm

sure some do anyway! hehe

Oh, and Stonehenge is just a bunch of rocks.

Re: Bonnie - UK Visit

Thanks !

We plan on going to the Tower of London. I never made it there when I was

there in 1971 and 1976. :(

We see Stonehenge and it's just amazing to me that they put these huge rocks

up!! I was there once and can't wait to go back!

and I have to sit down and decide what we want to do during our one day

of free time in London - besides visiting EDSers that live near there!

Bonnie:

Go see Avery Circle since you have already seen Stonehenge. At Avery

you can walk among the rocks (not hewn as Stonehenge's are) and so very

much more interesting and enjoyable...just laying around in a field with

sheep around, also spooky if your there on a misty morning. A guide

will take you around and provide much more history and demonstrate

dowsing and you can try it yourself, more off the beaten track, north of

Stonehenge and not commercialized as Stonehenge is. You get the real

goods and a feeling of what Stonehenge might have been like without the

chain link fencing. We experienced and earned much more there. Silbury

Hill nearby is unusual, seen in the distance and ancient burial sites

nearby.

Also the white horse at Uffington is neat but you would probably need a

car rental to get to and see it.

Wish I was going!!!!!

I'm not sure, but I think that my brother told me that Avery Circle is much

cooler than Stonhenge.

He's really into all that nature/Gods/Goddesses stuff.
