Guest guest
Cheryl, I'm not even sure I'm " diagnosed " yet. I have been definitively diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis just a few weeks ago and they told me at my last visit that one of the Lupus tests came back positive, too, as did hypothyroidism. I have several of the indicators but the ANA is normal. I had more labwork done today so my doctor can take a closer look at the Lupus possibility and the thyroid. Anywho, I've had neurological deficits in the past, as well as Raynaud's phenomenon which necessitated a move to a warm climate. But all hell broke loose within several months after my total hysterectomy. (I was 38; now I'm 39.) My doctor found that interesting, too. In RA, I've read that hormonal changes can provide a trigger. It's interesting, too, how RA and Lupus mostly affect women. I guess I'm just trying to put some pieces together. -Anne > > For -Anne > I, too, have asked my doctor about the link between these problems and > lupus. Guest guest
I also had a negitive ANA in the year befor it really flared... now everything is positive I think I asked this once before, but with so many of us mentioning thyroid, is there a medical link established or has there been any research done that anyone knows of that my show a possible connection? I asked an ER doctor a couple months ago, and he said, Allergies, Hypothyroid, Rhumatoid, all auto immune... I didn't think Hypothyroidism fit in there... anyone else hear anything like this or was this young doc sniffing too much oxygen? > Cheryl, I'm not even sure I'm " diagnosed " yet.
