Guest guest
Welcome Hope., I'm pretty new to the list but not to WW... .. Everyone seems so helpful here. Good luck on your weigh to your goal Thea Hi, everyone. I joined the group about a month ago and, with the exception of one post, have been just " hanging out " and reading other members' posts. I am the proud mother of a nine month old baby; I gained 70 pounds during my pregnancy, and returned to WW to lose those unwanted pounds. I have lost 63 pounds to date; 7 more to pre-pregnancy, 12 more to being satisfied, 17 more to being truly happy! I generally exercise 5 times/week - 35 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes of weight lifting and 5 minutes of abs every other day, and then 45 minutes of elliptical and 5 minutes of abs every other day. Until today, I calculated 3 AP points for both workouts. I use WWCalc the Palm handheld program created by Bob Withers, and had calculated my workouts as moderate. Today, I decided to classify my workout as high. Why? I hit a plateau a few weeks ago, so I changed my workout routine, added another couple of weight exercises, etc. and still no change. Then, I started eating more food, and my plateau broke. I continued to eat a little more food than my target + 3 AP points/per day + whatever flex points I wanted to use for that day, and noticed that I continued to lose weight. So, I've now concluded that I need to eat more in order to lose weight. That sounds weird to me, but I think it will work. On today, when I imputed my exercise, I switched the intensity to " high " and now my workout earns me 7 AP rather than 3. We'll see how this goes.
