Guest guest
, I have not heard of anything happening in Illinois, yet! Guess that means you can started making some noise! Barb [ ] BARB - Talk to your Senators and Representatives > Hey Barb, > > Do you know if any such action to eliminate Thimerosal use has been initiated in Illinois? I've emailed the www.nomercury.org site about 3 times now over the past couple of months trying to find out this info and offering to work toward this goal, but have yet to receive any reply. I would LOVE to be part of such an effort here in Illinois. > > Thanks, > > > > > > We've got things going in Iowa, Missouri, California, and a few other > states. Guest guest
I am resending this to you privately as well as posting on Autism- Mercury group. I received three messages from you (two on 8/17/04 approx. 20 minutes apart and one on 9-1-04). I answered twice (once on 8/18/04 and on 9/3/04). I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We have experienced some difficulty with our e- mail on a different server but I thought it had been corrected by switching host servers. I will check with our new tech support on Monday just to be sure. I am sending this message with a read receipt just to be on the safe side. If I can answer any questions, please feel free to call me at (417) 358-2331 home or (417) 434-4928 cell. Thanks, Lujene (see original replies below) , We have been contacted by Illinois State Representative May of District 58 expressing interest in pursuing a bill to ban Mercury in Medicine/Vaccines. We applaud her efforts and will assist her in any way. Her website is www.karenmay.org. Ayoub, M.D. is also pushing very diligently for legislation banning Thimerosal in Illinois. Also M. Kennedy is the Legislative Chairman for Autism Society of Illinois and helping to spearhead efforts in Illinois. Do you need their contact information? We are working with Representative May, Dr. Ayoub and Mr. Kennedy to help get this introduced soon and I know they will appreciate your support and assistance. Everything you need (copies of bills, contacts, etc) is on our website www.NoMercury.org. Keep checking the site; we are adding more and more scientific evidence, videos, newspaper and magazine articles, etc. rather frequently. We will be happy to include the Illinois legislative efforts on our website as soon as it is made available to us. We will also assist with testimony, letters and informational CDs like the ones we have used in the Missouri, Iowa, California and New York efforts. Just let me know how we can be of assistance. Look forward to working with you in Illinois efforts. By the way, may I share your contact info with others from Illinois who contact us at NoMercury? Kindest regards, Lujene www.NoMercury.org > Hey Barb, > > Do you know if any such action to eliminate Thimerosal use has been initiated in Illinois?
