Guest guest
Hi Mike, I just now got time to read the exercises you posted, and I have one question. It's on #2. It says " Take the tips of your fingers and apply pressure to Lung 1 in the hollow below the shoulder. Sight down your right arm toward your extended finger and then stretch in a bow pull to open up your chest. " This is probably a dumb question, but I'm assuming when you apply pressure to Lung 1, it's with the LEFT hand, correct? Also, when stretching in a bow pull, does that just mean to extend the arms a little further or as far as you can in opposite directions? Sorry, I'm such a visual person! I may look online to see if I can find pictures of these if I don't get the book bought first. Thanks Mike! Love Lana

If you are " sighting " toward your right finger, you apply pressure to left Lung 1 with the tips of the fingers of the left hand. If sighting left, apply pressure on the right side. And yes, really " stretch " that bow and expand your chest while doing it. Any one who knows me knows that I don't much care for exercising of any kind. I won't say never but I will admit to very infrequent. Mark it up as just one more of I am sure my many character flaws. Having said that, the effects I have experienced doing them the last few times is intriguing enough that I intend to continue and get into a regular habit of doing them. And the beauty of that is the " physical " benefit that I will get from them even though that is not my primary reason for doing them.
