Guest guest
Hi Aase, I'll do my best to describe what I did: I applied light pressure with my fingertips to the following areas - in the following order. I held all positions for 60-90 seconds. When using my hand on top of the head I allowed the flat of my palm to gently rest. I'm going to put the points down in () just in case you have access to a chart (which makes it much easier) First place (B2 & B10): The inside of your eye sockets - up just a bit from the inside corner. I'm sure if you have sinus trouble you've pressed on this before because it's painful and pressing on it relieves the pain. If you press hard enough (not real hard though) you can feel a slight indentation there - I didn't press hard enough on Hannah to feel the indentation. At the same time I placed my hand at the nape of her neck and let it gently rest there. Second place(B7): I placed my hand on the top of her head - with my fingers lined up ear to ear and not front to back (does that make sense) I wanted to cover a larger area from ear to ear. Third place (LI20 & ST3): On the bottom of the cheeks, next to the nostrils - this is also usually sore. Two fingers on each side - you are actually stimulating two points. Fourth place (GV20 & GV24.5): Right between the eyes with a hand on top of the head, but back further this time. Fifth place(GV20 & GV 26): Keep your hand on your head and move finger to the divit under your nose and above your mouth. Sixth place (LI4): The web between fingers and thumb - be sure to go far enough in to get what feels like muscle and not just the thin skin area. I checked both her hands but only applied pressure on one because it was 'thicker' than it was suppose to be. Another place that I didn't use but I've often used on myself is above the eyes, on the forehead, midway between eyes and hairline. I also applied the following which aren't so much for sinus, but are good for tmj. She has tmj problems and I know from personal experience that tmj can cause a lot of sinus problems. I wanted to make sure that her jaw wasn't contributing to her stuffy nose. Seventh place (ST6): Clench your jaws and feel for the muscle that bulges - relax your jaws and use light pressure. Eighth place (TW21, SI19 & GB2): Take your fingers and put them on your cheeks just in front of your ears - palms facing each other - and the three middle fingers are lightly touching your face - the heels of my palms can touch each other when I do this. The fingers should be slightly spread. Vicks vapor rub is an old rememdy that I grew up with and my ob recommended when I was pregnant and having a lot of trouble with allergies (if I only knew then what I know now). I just rubbed it on her chest so the fumes would go up and get into her sinuses. We've found horseradish or hot peppers to also be good for clearing a stuffy nose - but not what you want to do in the middle of the night. If you have questions, i.e., I didn't make it clear - just give a holler and I'll try to do better. -- In ceda , Aase Marit Waage wrote: > Hi , > > Would it be possible for you to explain in an easy way where and how > you did this?
