Guest guest Posted July 8, 2004 Report Share Posted July 8, 2004 Hi everyone! I lost 4 pounds on my first weigh-in! That confirms it for me that my POINTS target was not right for me. For those of you that missed my post, I am nursing my 13 month old son 2 times a day and walking 20-30 minutes a day. Well, the Week 1 book said that nursing moms could only use the higher points target if breastmilk was the SOLE form of nutrition for the child. So, I didn't even ask.(Since eats solids 3X a day, plus snacks!) Well, after 4 days, I was STARVING and had used all my flex points. (and then some) I asked around on this list and the WW message boards, and the consensus was to add 2 points per nursing session. I think they were right - for the week, I went EIGHTEEN points over my flexpoints and still lost 4 lbs! Plus, it's TOM for me. Can't imagine how much I would have lost if I had stuck to the regular plan and it's wasn't the TOM for me. But, obviously, that's not healthy for me. I went under the 200 mark, but I am going to keep my POINTS target at the 200-224 range (+4 for nursing) until I can start counting activity points.
