Subject: NO MORE CHEMO!!!!!

Just got back from NY from my nephrologist. I'm wiped out and need to take a nap, but just wanted to let you guys know I won't be doing chemo anymore. That's 18 months later. I'm very happy.

There is definite kidney damage, but it's not as much as they had expected it to be. He says he will be watching me closely and at the first glance of a "blip" in my creatinine or protein he is inclined to put me on Cellcept. He says if that happens, it'll probably be for the rest of my life as they cannot risk another flare such as the last one.

So I'm really, really happy and want to thank all of you who have "held my hand" throughout the course. I will definitely write to Mukund. although he is no longer with our group, I will never forget how much he helped me when chemo was so new to me and so terrifying.

Now I'm going to sleep.

Congratulations Mojo! That is wonderful news! You mean they

actually take away drugs too? LOL I thought they only ADDED! :-)

BTW, why did Mukund leave the group? Just curious...I always enjoyed

his posts way back when. Enjoy your nap!

Take care!

I'm done with the nap, thanks Jerri.

Mukund left the group a while ago. Maybe last summer or fall. I can't

remember exactly. He was so busy with his work he hardly ever got a chance

to rest, so being involved with our group was a bit too much time wise for

him. I communicate with him now and then and he is doing ok.

That's right Mojo, I remember thinking that it was so nice the way that he always looked after you all the time and gave you so much advice. Why did he leave the group? That makes me sad. I miss our old crowd sometimes but still have fun with the new crazies as well lol
