Guest guest
Pam, I have had omg numerous MRI's of the brain as I have suffered 12+ strokes, mostly due to the lupus and TTP (rare blood disease) They will give you headphones to listen to music during your procedure and that helps ease you. They do have what is called an OPEN MRI for those people who are clostrophebic (sp) I however don't mind the confined space and the music calms me - but expect to be in the machine for at least 45 mins - there is a microphone so they can hear you and if you do freak out - just speak up - they can come in and give you some medicine to calm you down - but it really isn't too bad - good luck with it and keep us informed.
