Guest guest
All the symptoms you described are just lupus symptoms. Yup, that’s it! Do you get fevers? When you feel especially tired and achy, take your temperature. You might have a fever and that is just lupus too. There is absolutely no reason to believe you will get worse. There is every reason to believe you might get it in better control with meds and even have a remission for awhile, or maybe even years. A long time ago lupus was a death sentence because Dr’s at the time couldn’t recognize it until the person was near death. Most of us just live a long life with pain. We have to accept it. It takes awhile to do that. We have to adjust to it. When you are tired you must lie down. Don’t feel guilty about resting; it is Dr’s orders to do so. I used to feel so guilty about it. I learned to enjoy it now. It sounds like you are very active, that’s real good. Some of us have other things wrong with us that have nothing to do with lupus so don’t worry you will get worse. OK? There are days when I feel like I have a suit of armor on, weighing me down. Those days I usually go home and go straight to bed. I also have pain in my hands, wrists, feet and ankles, sometimes in my hips and back, but at least it is not unbearable. I am able to tolerate it okay. Does anyone know if this stuff is progressive? Do I look for these things to get worse? Thank Heaven I don't have the lung or heart problems (as some of you do), but does the pain get worse? Do I look for signs of lung or heart problems? Any info is appreciated. I bought a book, but it isn't quite as detailed as I would like it to be. Express yourself with over 8,000 FREE Email Smileys - click here!
