Guest guest
Hi Pam!! I recently at my last hospitalization had an MRI done on my brain...expect to be in there for about 45 minutes.. I actually fell asleep during most of it. I don't have vasculitis and i don't know much about it. I wish i had more to tell you, but i'm really foggy right now and can't think too well... I wish you the best of luck...if i found out anything i'll be sure to let you know. ann > Hi All > > Has anyone had an MRI for the brain to ruleout lupus vasculitis? Anyone have vasculitis? If so, what symptoms besides head pain? Any unsteadyness or balance problems? > > My neurologist wants to get MRI done to determine diagnosis of migraine or vasculitis. > Your help and experience is needed. My test is next Monday. I am going to take some good relaxers to get me in that machine!!! > > Pam

Guest guest
Hi, I have had several MRI’s. I had a brain hemorrhage. I do not remember getting a headache first although when I woke up in the hosp. I had memory loss and couldn’t talk real well. The Dr. said it might have been lupus but I was in the middle of severe cancer treatment (chemo and radiation every day). I was told I had several seizures .. Guest guest
I have vasculitis - but it is considered responsible for the swelling in my legs! No one has tied it in to my lupus or mentioned any brain involvement. I have gotten the impression it (or at least my) vasculitis is more typical of age and physical condition and influenced by excess weight. (I'm 60 and about 35 lbs. overweight). On the other hand, I haven't had any reason to consult a neurologist... my rheumy and PCP plus an occasional trip to the dermatologist do a good job of keeping my lupus in control. Sue >Has anyone had an MRI for the brain to ruleout lupus vasculitis? Anyone have vasculitis? If so, what symptoms besides head pain? Any unsteadyness or balance problems? That is what I had done that first told my DRS that I had lupus. They did it because back around October I started fainting and having bad dizzy spells for no reason it comes and goes now a C
