Guest guest
>Hi Jen, I am not familiar with what the MCL is... I tore my ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and PCL (posterior -) many years ago. It was not diagnosed correctly, so a lot of time passed before I got surgery. Back then they said that you should have surgery within 24 or 48 hours for them to be able to do a successful repair. But as I have understood it, they are now able to do repairs even after quite a long time... A lot has changed with such things the past few years. I was operated on once, but it was not successful at all. I have not had surgery again, so the knee is just very instable. If I had been an athlete, they had probably opted for new surgery. They did plan on it at some point, but when they saw how good results I had by doing exercises three times a day for a long period back then, they dropped doing the surgery anyway Just my NOK .50 worth...
