Bonnie

May dad was in the Navy, and we always lived in coastal towns. I know that

smell and miss it. I am landlocked right now in my town and love to travel

a little bit just to see the Lake Ontario, but would love to be surrounded

by water again.

I am so proud of you Sharon! Wow, I've always wanted to learn how to sail!

I am so jealous!!!

Jill

My dad built sailboats, rented them, rented moorings, stored boats, and

built/repaired boats. I miss the sounds/smells of the lake and sailing!!!

waaaahhhhh!!!

If the wind is out of the east I can smell Lake Michigan as we are only about

5 miles inland from it!!! I can sometimes hear the motor boats on the Milwaukee

River which is about 1 mile south of us too.... but it's NOT the same as sitting

in a sailboat or sitting on the pier..... :(

Bonnie,

Do you live in or near Wisconsin, Milwakee?? or is it Milwakee,

Wisconson Milwaukee: Mikwaukee Community Sailing Center and found

There are 6 clubs in Ontario with Access Dinghy's, known as Able Sail

there all wiht web sites. SO maybe you can have a go too. I LOVED it

and can't wait until Sunday to go out by myslef (espcially now that

my shoulder is back in (for the time being) but if not I am going to

ask for a servo assist boat (fully electric)).

Yes, I am aware of them Sharon, thank you! It's an incredibly freeing

experience to be on the water, some say the same thing about being on

horseback too.
