Guest guest
Hi, yeah I remember in high school I was very athletic. I rode my bicycle like 20 miles a day and took dance lessons every other day. I was 5'2 and weighted 125. I wore size 5. When I went to give blood at the high school blood drive they wouldn't let me because they said I didn't weigh enough so I had to go to the health office and get weighed to prove I was heavy enough to give blood. I guess that would be a good example of BMI vs body fat. These days for me its a whole different story lol! Still, its nice to think about Christy
Guest guest
Interesting how differently people can be built; when I was in high school, I was 5'2, 125#, and I wore a size 12! I've never worn a size 5! Lis Lane 223/171/140 http://heartlandwebdesign.com/ ----- Original Message ----- > Hi, yeah I remember in high school I was very athletic. Guest guest
Well I never wore a size 5 - it was always 16/18 (which they now call 14/16). I'm just a large Brunhilde type, stocky and in High School mostly weighed around 165. Tried to get smaller. Starvation, bulimia you name it. Nothing worked for very long. I always wondered why my body leaned towards weight and fat when I was much more active than most of the kids around me, walked home 3.5 miles from school carrying books and violin daily, ran from class to class, intramurals 3 times a week, swimming during study hall. WW is the only thing which works for me but I am not small - I am the same 16/18 (now 14/16) which my body just loves. How do you tell a stupid body that it's not socially acceptable to wear double digit sizes... ** sigh** Sue Re: BMI vs Body fat > Hi, yeah I remember in high school I was very athletic. Guest guest
You don't. You just love the body you're in and keep treating it right, which you do! You tell society to bite you. You're active, happy, and healthy. What more can you TRULY ask for? (Okay, maybe a six pack tummy...but not a lot of us gonna ever have one of those, no matter HOW skinny!) > Re: Re: BMI vs Body fat > > > Well I never wore a size 5 - it was always 16/18 (which they > now call 14/16). Guest guest
:-) I have a two roll tummy (instead of a six pack). *LOL* Sue Re: BMI vs Body fat > > > > > > > Hi, yeah I remember in high school I was very athletic.
