Hello everyone--

Thanks so much for all the well-wishes and prayers for Jake. Our

hospital visit was pretty rough...I went back to the OR and held Jake

while they put him out, and that was so hard!! He cried and cried. In

the evening, Jake ended up throwing up all over...yuck. Seth stayed

ovenight with him (I would have but I was sooo nervous the night before

surgery that I only got about 2 hrs of sleep) and said he slept fairly

well. Wednesday Jake was feeling much better. He spent the entire

morning sitting in bed and playing with his new, big, MagnaDoodle (he

LOVES the shapes it came with!). We also went to storytime at the

hospital library. That was so much fun! Jake got some freebies too, a

book and stickers and a beanie-baby. We came home after lunch.

Wednesday evening was not-too-hot too; Jake was so frustrated by not

being able to stand and needing us to help lift him into chairs etc.

But, he got an excellent nights' sleep and today he's pretty much back

to his usual self!! He's figured out how to crawl around and he can

also do stairs. It's amazing how quickly he's adjusted to having the

cast. He doesn't seem to be in too much pain either, but then I've been

giving him his pain medication every 4-5 hrs. Tomorrow I plan to start

switching him over to Motrin...hopefully he'll take that better (he

hates the taste of the Lortab liquid).

Anyhow...if anyone would like to visit, that would be much appreciated!!

I'm sure Jake would like to play with someone other than me & .

:) I'm kind of nervous about venturing out of the house alone with him

even tho we have the double stroller, but we'd sure be willing to come

over to someone's house if that's easier for you. Just give us a call

and we can work around my schedule (I go back to work next week

unfortunately).

Thanks again,

Kassia :)
