I know they are not related to EDS... or at least no one has ever told me that M. D. is. Hi there, I have M.D. not age related since 29 years of age. I have lattice holes in my retina. Then, last year I am told I really have atrophic macular degeneration. I have what LOOKS like macular degeneration because of my thin collagen. I was not diagnosed with EDS at the time. They told me never to have laser treatment as I do not have typical MD. That it was because my eye was thin and fragile ... that is an EDS related thing. I hope this helps a little.
