Guest guest
Hi Everyone I had my doctors appointment today adn brought up the subject of depression adn realated how i was feeling and symptoms taht were occuring. She (the dr) said that i was most likely either greiving or in the early stages of depression. She gave me a perscriptioni for sleeping pills to try for a week to see if getting sleep will help my mood at all. I have a follow up in a week to see her again this time for a double appointment slot when we can discuss things. She also suggested that I get in touch with counselling serivces on campus to see if talking things through will help at all. I go to see someone on thursday morning. I am not sure how well this is goign to work as I am a very private person and dont really express my feeligns well but I guess I will give it a shot. Guest guest
Stacey I would definitely advise you to go to counselling. I have recently been diagnosed with EDS (vascular) and prior to that lost our 13 year old son to this and I was advised to go to counselling and that was a lifeline. If you have a good counsellor you can talk about anything. Like you I am a fairly private person but our counsellor was the best!! Good luck with everything. Guest guest
Hi Stacey -- I hope things go well for you on Thursday, and also next week at your followup appointment. I see a therapist and it has helped me tremendously. If this one doesn't work for you, please try another one. It's important that you click with each other at the first meeting - that, even if not right away, you know you will be able to talk about private things at some point. Hang in there - we are all here for you.
