Donna,

When the kids were growing up we would let them open 1 small gift on Christmas eve. We alsway go and spend Christmas eve with Dwight's family because that is when they have always opened their presents on Christmas Eve. Then when my parents were alive we would go to their house and celebrate Christmas with them.

Now that the kids are grown and married. Things have changed Dean and spend Christmas Eve with his Mother. Christmas morning is with us, then they go to his Father's house. I have never said anything but I always felt like we got the short stick because last year they were at my sister's house from 9 to 12. So we only got to spend 4 hours together. Ronnie and usually go to his Grandmother's sometime Christmas afternoon. They have gone with us for Christmas eve. But I am not sure what is going to happen because there has been a very serious feud going on between on of Dwight's sister and his Brother. Ah families you have to love them LOL

Have a good weekend,

Lin

I'd love to hear what others do for the holidays, I think in the midst of all the chaos we have all been experiencing lately this would be a nice reflection.HugsDonna

My family comes to our home the Sat. before Christmas. My brother wants to be home with the kids on Christmas. They live in MI. Everyone pitches in as far as food is concerned. On Christmas morning we're going to do the same as last year. I'm going to fix monkey bread and a breakfast casserole and & Brad will come for a late breakfast and then head up to Chicago where Brad's parents live. We used to have a pickle ornament on the tree that you hide and the first one to find it got a small gift. Since is out of the house we don't do it anymore. I forget which country we got that tradition from. The girls always wanted to open a gift on Christmas Eve and save the rest for Christmas morning. It changes when your kids move out!

Love,
