Lin, The judge doesn't ask you alot..I think it was just my name, address, b-date and did I agree with my drs about not being able to work, did I agree with the SSDI work advocate that gave a report saying I was unable to work part-time or full-time in any of my old jobs, and how do my disorders affect my my life on a daily basis. Mostly your lawyer talks...then you lawyer asks you some questions which you have already gone over....then the ssdi advocate takes notes while your lawyer speaks..then on what your lawyers says and what you say and what your drs recommendations say the ssdi work advocate goes over what jobs you had held in the past and whether or not you could do that type of work full or part time...and then you answer a few questions for the judge. It was actually very easy..but I know I was scared and nervous after I got out of the hearing I knew I was going to be approved because the ssdi advocate had said I couldn't work at all full time or part

time...hope this helps you...Hugs..Ginny wrote:

Thank you so much for all your knowledge, I admit I have been stressing over this, because I am scared to talk to a judge and with my luck he won't believe in RSD either. Dwight said don't worry about it they will take on look at you and know that something is going on with you. I don't know about the rest of you but I am very pale a lot of days.

anyway I am hoping that I won't have to go for any more tests and stuff. What kind of things does the judge ask you?

take care,

Lin

I applied in March 2002 for SSDI...I got a lawyer after my first denial. I got 2 denials and then waited for hearing...I never was sent to see a SSDI dr...they went solely on my medical records and drs evaluations. I finally got my hearing in Dec 2003 and then recieved the approval from the judge in feb 2004. In MA if you get to hearing 99% of the cases are approved, I don't know about other states but since it is federal i would assume the odds are the same.
