Guest guest
Hi back to ya, Sheila. I think it's great if someone adds T4 or T3 to their Armour and they get a good response. Hey, whatever works-- go for it!! Just like with you--it worked! ) But.....in the near 2 1/2 years I have been with the site, I have noted often that when someone is continuing to have symptoms, it's the need for more Armour. Sure, one can add T3 or T4, but why do it when upping the Armour does the trick...and gives you the added bonus of the other hormones in Armour! That is why I mention it so often here. That is also what appeared to be Caroline's case. 1 3/4 grains is perhaps too low a dose to rid her of those aches and pains. I'm also into simplicity. LOL. Why add another pill to the mix if simply adding more Armour can do the trick? On the other side of the coin, if someone like yourself has problems going up on Armour, as you stated, then adding T4 to the Armour may do the trick, as it also did for you and others. That's fabulous! I have also read Dommisse say he has worked to get BOTH the free T3 and free T4 at the top of the range, which you can't do on Armour alone. You can certainly get the free T3 up there--laughing. But you would have to add T4-only meds to get the free T4 up there. Then there are those folks who are on HIGH doses of Armour, and can't seem to get their free T3 up there, or get relief from Armour. Those are the ones who benefit from adding T3 to their Armour. I learned a lot about that from reading Dr. Lowe's experiences. In summary, I am just saying the following: it has appeared that when someone complains of continuing symptoms with Armour, all they needed to do was raise the Armour. And, if like you, they had issues when trying to raise that weren't related to Ferritin or Adrenals, then the addition of T4 seems to have done the trick, as you and others have stated. Hope that helps. Janie > > That is not always the case unfortunately - I tried adding more Armour on > several occasions but I couldn't take it. The additional T3 in the Armour > was just too much.
