thinking you could buy it by the boxesful & ship it to the rest of

us for cheaper than we could otherwise get it. And make some money

on the side for yourself since you're so close to the factory there.

LOL!!!

LOL! Don't think that thought hadn't occured to me, Caroline! : D

Not to profit from it, but to be a complete rebel against the

phelgmatic powers that be!

I guess I'll be ordering the Naturethroid then from either of those two sources.

I called my pharmacy today to ask who supplies their armour. They said " Forest

Labs " . My dr. got her Rx for " generic Armour thyroid " from them. So right now

I'm taking part of her Rx & part of the Time-Caps generic Armour I ordered from

myrxforless. I seem to be feeling way better today than I have a in LONG time.

So something's working since I'm up to 1 3/4 grains now, which isn't much but

any improvement on any amount is welcome. I might be allergic/sensitive to any

fillers in it though. So I'm planning to start ordering the Naturethroid

instead. But still want a doctor that will prescribe Armour for me because it's

too expensive otherwise to keep ordering it & paying out of pocket myself. So

this is tough, indeed.

Re: Some sources for thyroid-recap

Caroline;

The naturethroid on both biogenesis and antiaging systems are

brand name, organic, hypoallergenic ; and NOT generic. At least,

that is what is stated on their websites. I'd rather spend the extra

few bucks for something that I have a better chance of feeling good

on. Some people may handle the generic thyroid extract just fine,

but I'd rather not chance it.

Interesting side note: when I was on synthetic t4, my insurance

company was too cheap to prescribe synthroid, so I started off with

generic synthroid. However, I got nervous, because I wanted

consistancy from batch to batch, so I asked my doctor to prescribe

unithroid or levoxl instead, because both of those brand names are

cheaper than synthroid. Would you believe that I did better on the

generic than I did on the unithroid? I became so sick on unithroid,

similar to the symptoms described by Sandy on the generic armour. It

made me curious as to who made the generic brand that I was on, so I

looked it up and discovered that my pharmacy uses a generic from the

same company that produces synthroid, and was therefore very similar.

I guess what I think now is that before I'd go for the generic ,

I'd want to know the generic brand's company and see if they are an

off shoot of any of the companies that produce the brand names. In

fact, one way to do this is to call the companies that make armour

and ask if they also produce a generic, what are the fillers, what

are the names, and where they can be located. Or, tell them the

online pharmacy and ask if they distribute the generic to them. Just

a thought.
