At they use the underarm temperature . http://www.geocities.com/thyroide/temp-test.html Also Dr. Hertoghe told me that even the temperature test is NOT a reliable mesure . It is if thyroid deficciency is the ONLY problem . Otherwise lots of other things can interfere . It is a GOOD test , he uses it himself , but it is one among other things to take into account . ne http://www.geocities.com/thyroide

Guest guest
I think it can vary from person to person or even with different thermometers. I have 2 identical mercury thermometers and I have taken my temp both oral and underarm at the same time. The difference is 0.5 I also tested my new digital against my mercury one to see how accurate it is. Lynda (in the UK) *Underarm temp (was QUESTIONS PLEASE Oh? My underarm temp is always about one full degree lower than oral. This isn't normal?> I get real confused on this temperature measuring thing:

Guest guest
If I remember right, rectal temps run 2 degrees over axillary (armpit), and oral temps run 1 degree over axillary.
