At they use the underarm temperature .

Also Dr. Hertoghe told me that even the temperature test is NOT a

reliable mesure . It is if thyroid deficciency is the ONLY problem .

Otherwise lots of other things can interfere . It is a GOOD test , he

uses it himself , but it is one among other things to take into

account .

I think it can vary from person to person or even with different thermometers.

I have 2 identical mercury thermometers and I have taken my temp both oral and

underarm at the same time. The difference is 0.5 I also tested my new

digital against my mercury one to see how accurate it is.

I think it can vary from person to person or even with different thermometers.

I have 2 identical mercury thermometers and I have taken my temp both oral and

underarm at the same time. The difference is 0.5 I also tested my new

digital against my mercury one to see how accurate it is.

If I remember right, rectal temps run 2 degrees over axillary (armpit), and oral

temps run 1 degree over axillary.
