Well, hubby is taking 's shoes to work tomorrow to cut holes in

the heel so I can make sure they're on correctly and so we can see what's

going on back there. He still has a red mark on his heel, but thankfully

it's getting better. We have the red adjustable bar and I checked it

against his shoulders. His heels are pretty much in line with his

shoulders, so no problem there. We found out that the shoes actually come

off the bar really easily....just loosen a wing nut on each one and that

loosens the hold of the bracket thingys that hold the shoe. I figure that

now I can wear some of the shorts and stuff that he has that don't have

snaps on the legs. If I need to change his clothes, I can just remove the

bar for a minute and change his pants. Definitely a lot easier and not as

time consuming as removing the shoes. When I thought I'd always have to

remove the shoes to change clothes like that if necessary, there was no way

I was going to dress him in pants without snaps, but since it would only

take a minute or two with removing the bar, I'm willing to give it a

shot....if I'm able to change his diaper without removing the bar. If I

have to remove the bar each time a diaper needs changed, I guess it's pants

and shorts with snaps only.

The things he can't wear, of course, are all the footy pajamas he has.

Once we go to wearing the bar only at night, he can wear them during the day

in the fall and winter when it's colder, but I was wondering if anyone else

has ever tried to modify the footy pajamas by cutting off the feet and then

hemming the cuffs? If so, how'd it work out? I've been thinking about it

so he can get some use out of them, but I'm not sure how that would work.

I'm not exactly a great seamstress...I'm lucky if I can hem somthing, but I

do have a sewing maching so I may have to give it a try sometime.

Okay, sorry for rambling on... : )
