Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Joanna. I've heard from time to time of folks going into remission, but i've never heard of anyone, except perhaps some folks hat were diagnosed and treated very early on, ever being "cured." WHo knows, though....I would imagine if they were cured that they wouldn't likely come looking for support !! Hope you cam get the support and info that you need form the group. Great folks here. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of any anecdotal or empirical (research) evidence of anyone actually getting over RSD? I have not been encouraged by what I have read, I'm 25 and was diagnosed a year ago, but likely had it for a year before that. It seems like everyone here has had it for a long time and expects it to be lifelong.

Guest guest
Joanna Welcome to the Group. Just because there is no "cure" for RSD doesn't mean it won't go into remission and remission sometimes can be for years or forever. I have lots of auto-immune disorders on top of RSD and some for 20 yrs...but most of the time I was always able to do things and had long periods of remission with some of the worse ones. The meds can sometimes get you to a point where you can function just as if you don't have anything wrong with you...so don't give up hope. Lots of diseases and disorders are not curable but that doesn't mean you won't have a great quality of life just because you have them..Hope you have a Great Thanksgiving..Ginnyjoannaduke23 wrote: I'm new and have been reading the messages, and learning a lot.
